I keep hearing about Goldendoodles being double coated. Is that true? What does it mean and does it affect their shedding?

Well, it depends. Poodles do not have double coats, so most will not. But it is possible that a Goldendoodle could inherit a double coat from its Golden Retriever parent (who do have a double coat of guard hairs and an undercoat).
