Dog car seats? Are they worth it?

I'm about to take a long road trip with my dog. She is a Pittie mix, about 50 pounds. She does okay on short trips but gets restless and tries to climb around the car on longer drives. I've heard that a car seat might help her relax and stay in one place. Has anyone tried one? Do dog car seats really work? I don't want to waste my money.

I was wondering the same thing for my smaller pup, a Chihuahua, who likes to bounce around when I drive. A car seat seems like a good idea.

Yes, dog car seats can be worth it for several reasons. They improve safety by securing your dog and reducing the risk of injury during sudden stops or accidents. And they can help reduce anxiety for dogs who feel insecure in a moving vehicle. Check out our reviews of dog car seats and harnesses to learn more.
