I've taken in a dog and am not sure what vaccinations he needs.

I've recently taken in a dog that wasn't properly cared for in his previous home. I think he is about 3 years old, but he has never had any vaccinations that I know of. I am not sure where to start. I have a vet appointment next week, but I want to go in prepared with what to expect. What vaccinations should he have if he has never had any at all? He is also not fixed, so we will be doing that soon as well.
